What is StartUp "Joby" launching in London?

Imagine skipping hours of traffic and flying across the city in minutes. That future may arrive sooner than you think — and it’s landing in London.
California-based startup Joby Aviation has teamed up with Virgin Atlantic to launch an aerial taxi service using their sleek, five-seat eVTOL aircraft. These electric flying taxis cruise at 320 km/h, making trips like Heathrow to Canary Wharf in just 8 minutes — instead of the usual 80 by car.
Powered by six electric motors, Joby’s aircraft can travel up to 160 km on a single charge, without emissions and with barely a whisper of noise. The company is now working to get flight certifications in both the UK and US, and to build a network of urban skyports.
Flying taxis are no longer sci-fi. In London, they’re almost ready for takeoff.
