What movie franchise is returning with a third installment?
The magic is back: a new installment in the Now You See Me franchise is finally moving forward. Now You See Me 3will bring back the Four Horsemen, promising more high-stakes illusions, heists, and mind games.
The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Venom), taking over from Jon M. Chu. Original cast members Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Morgan Freeman are expected to return, alongside new additions — with Justice Smith (Detective Pikachu) and Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie) reportedly joining the crew.
Fun fact: the first film’s magic consultant was real-life illusionist David Kwong, who helped design many of the tricks seen onscreen — blending cinematic spectacle with real-world sleight of hand.
Now You See Me 3 has been in development limbo for years, but with Lionsgate giving the project a green light and a fresh creative team behind it, fans can expect the franchise to return with a new twist on the magic-meets-heist formula.
The release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but production begins later this year.
